While I don't know the word, I do know the word foof, and its meaning seems to be similar by your example. I might say 'bother'.
Hi Sandra ... I'd rather have the real thing! Ketchup has an interesting history ... and yes back in the day ... funny things were recommended as medicine?!!?!?! I can't really easily say foofaraw!! Cheers Hilary
Interesting on ketchup!
Foofaraw is a great word and new to me. I'd probably use fuss or fuss and bother. Someone needs to tell the felon in The White House that he shouldn't throw the red medicine on the walls.
Love,
Janie
Since Himself is a baseball fan (specifically the Boston Red Sox), I would use Brouhaha. I didn't know that about ketchup known in my family as Sauce Américain
Thumbs up, Andrew. Bother is a great description.
The flamingo is beautiful! I did not know that about ketchup!
Hi HIls, Funny things were definitely recommended as medicines, for sure:) Foofaraw is a bit of a tongue twister;)
Cheers,
Christine, Isn't that a hoot?
Hi Janie, Fuss and/or fuss and bother are both good choices.
CJ, Brouhaha is a grand word and Sauce Américain is hilarious:)
Who'd a thought. Right, Linda?
There is just too much Foofaraw all over the walls in the White House. Never thought gold could look so tacky. I never knew that about ketchup..that’s just too funny.
THAT is a wonderful word!
It is funny about ketchup, isn't it, Birgit?
It is a great word, isn't it, Jeanie?
ha - I didn't know that about ketchup. Back in 1830 it was probably more natural and better for you. Today, there is added sugars to make it taste better.
