Did the moms and caregivers out there have a wonderful weekend? I sure hope so.
The HH and I went to Shelton Vineyards for dinner. They had a special Mother's Day Selection. It started with either a salad, soup, or another selection they had listed. Fried Tortellini, maybe? I chose the salad. The croutons were hands down the best I've ever had.
For the main course I went with the vegetarian option and the HH got Mai Mai. And yes I did end up bringing a box home, since my plate was overflowing;)
And.....I brought most of my dessert home too:) The HH had half of his cheesecake finished before I managed to snap a pic of it:)
And on our way out the door, the ladies were given a rose and a little box of macarons.
This is a picture of the vineyards. There's a rose bush at the beginning of each row. The roses are blooming and are so pretty.
AND
I saw this hydrangea at Home Depot. You can't really tell from my picture but the flower is huge. It's the biggest hydrangea that I've ever seen. It was probably three times larger than my hand and I don't have small hands.
AND
The Amaryllis is blooming.
AND to all the moms out there:

Mega apologies to my friends that live in different countries. If I could offer it as a promotion in your neck of the woods, I would gladly.
How are you, Blogger Buds? Did the mom's out there have a lovely Sunday?
When it's a holiday and we aren't seeing the kids, my go to place is Shelton Vineyards. It's pretty, peaceful and has great food. They had a special menu for Mother's Day. Interestingly, they didn't have a vegetarian option listed but did have one ready for anyone who wanted it. Beluga lentils over cubed sweet potatoes. It was very good. They also had a singer/guitarist performing outside.
Frank always takes time to smell the flowers...and lay under them too:)
Did you and yours have a good Mother's Day? Did you stop and smell the roses?
