Ketch-Up Day

How are you? Keeping cool? It's averaging over a hundred degrees daily here. The poor plants and outdoor critters are panting. I keep a a bowl of water on the steps for any critter meandering by.

Are you getting rain? Even when it's forecast here, it usually goes east or west of us. I guess I'm going to have to step up my rain dance;)

 AND

Since my interests are rather limited (heh), here's some more Eternal Garden pics:

I wanted a shot that included the crepe myrtle behind us. It's gorgeous.

Hark! What's that I hear? The pitter patter of rain drops and thunder boomers. Others must have been doing the rain dance too.

Have a grand one, Blogger Buds.

Ketch-Up Day

How was your weekend and how is your week going?

We're doing fine on this end.

My blackberries are ripening.   I'm so excited.

 AND

We met a couple of buds at Village Inn for lunch.  Yum.  Have you ever been to one?  They have a pizza buffet, a salad bar, soup, drinks and dessert.  Very tasty and very reasonably priced.

I drive an '03 Mustang and one of the buds gave me this:

 Simple pleasures:)

AND

A few Eternal Garden pics.

Froggy fighting his way through the garden forest:)

That's it for now, Blogger Buds.  What's going on in your neck of the woods?

Have an excellent week.

Ketch-up Day

How are you? How was your weekend and how goes your week?

We went to Blowing Rock Tuesday.

Here are a few shots from the car. And they really don't do the mountains justice.

This was taken at the outlet mall. I thought it was a fun idea.

And we picked these up at a little outdoor kiosk.  The raspberry and pistachio cake weren't as good as I anticipated, but that cheesecake. OMG.

AND

More Eternal Garden Pics

Besides 'tater plants cropping up from the compost pile, looks like I've got a tomato plant going too. Heh.

I had to get a hydrangea pic in for Andrew:)

AND

FYI: For those that read Westerns, the e version of  Keeper Tyree is free today at Amazon.

That's it for today:)

It's Ketch-Up Day

Did the moms and caregivers out there have a wonderful weekend? I sure hope so.

The HH and I went to Shelton Vineyards for dinner. They had a special Mother's Day Selection.  It started with either a salad, soup, or another selection they had listed. Fried Tortellini, maybe? I chose the salad. The croutons were hands down the best I've ever had.

For the main course I went with the vegetarian option and the HH got Mai Mai. And yes I did end up bringing a box home, since my plate was overflowing;)

And.....I brought most of my dessert home too:) The HH had half of his cheesecake finished before I managed to snap a pic of it:)

And on our way out the door, the ladies were given a rose and a little box of macarons.

This is a picture of the vineyards. There's a rose bush at the beginning of each row.  The roses are blooming and are so pretty.

AND

I saw this hydrangea at Home Depot. You can't really tell from my picture but the flower is huge. It's the biggest hydrangea that I've ever seen. It was probably three times larger than my hand and I don't have small hands.

AND

The Amaryllis is blooming.

AND last but not least, if you have an opportunity check out this trailer. It is just amazing. It's about a wild fish and the unusual friend he made.

So what did you do this weekend? Ever seen a huge hydrangea? A friendly bass?
