Ketch-up Day

How was your weekend and how's your week going? We attended one of the many rallies held Saturday. For the most part it was peaceful. A couple of folks did show up with the intent to disrupt. One man who was there protesting the protest--which he has every right to do--was loud, obnoxious, and hateful.  My immediate reaction is always, they aren't going to change my mind and no one is going to change theirs. I just ignored him and chanted louder. But a woman was there who went up to him and starting talking. Not in your face, just an exchange of ideas. And it worked. I was humbled by it. I'm not saying he suddenly went from red to blue anymore than she went from blue to red, but they had a civil discourse and exchanged ideas and hopefully each person saw a little bit of the other's point of view.

In spite of spring shilly-shallying, the garden and surroundings are making a determined effort to bloom.

Thank you, Julie.

That's it folks. Have a grand week and catch me up on what's going on with you.

It's Tuesday

If you had three frivolous wishes to ask a genie, what would they be?

Mine:

For one or all of my books to hit #1 on Amazon.

To have a butler. If for nothing else to remove the lint, cat and dog hairs that jump on my clothes.

The third wish would be a toss up between a maid/cook to help the butler and a Tesla:)

Now...if my wishes were serious--though hitting #1 at Amazon is serious, unfortunately still frivolous, heh---they would be:

For my grandson to be forever cancer free.

For Ukraine to be restored to a peaceful country immediately.

For hunger not to be an issue anywhere in the world.

AND

Captain Stubby is blooming  😸

When Captain was alive he would throw himself down on the bottom step of the porch and roll around, enjoying the sun, loving life. After he passed, Frank started doing the same thing, on the same step.  It makes me wonder if Cap left a bit of his essence, his energy or maybe just his scent on the step.

RIP, Cap.

What are your three wishes?

Got critters that linger?
