Movie Night

We picked up pizza, chocolate kettle popcorn (OMG, delicious) and a couple of movies over the weekend. We saw Green Lantern. I usually enjoy the comic book action movies, but the previews for Green Lantern didn't interest me. I was pleasantly surprised. It turned out to be a fun, action movie. And Ryan Reynolds didn't look half bad in his green lantern costume:)

We also watched TRON, a good movie for gamers. My favorite two things about TRON. One: Bruce Boxleitner was in it. Anybody remember Scarecrow and Mrs. King? I've been a Boxleitner fan ever since. And two: it twice mentioned rescue. It was subtle, but the point was made.

Has anybody else seen these movies? What did you think?

  1. I haven't seen the Green Lantern movie yet but have heard good things about it. I saw the original "Tron" movie with Bruce Boxleitner when I was a kid and I do remember "The Scarecrow and Mrs. King" with him and Kate Jackson...it was a campy show but I liked it:)

  2. I've not seen either, but I LOVED Scarecrow and Mrs. King:)

I watched Transformers 2 on Sunday. Haven't been to the theater since Cars 2 back in June. And LOVE kettle corn, so chocolate kc? Sounds yummy!

  3. Gotta see Green Lantern. It's on my list.

  4. Maria and Molly, I loved Scarecrow and Mrs. King:) And I still appreciate Bruce Boxleitner.

Julia, I think you'll enjoy it.

  5. I haven't seen either movie. Green Lantern hasn't had such good reviews, right? Sometimes those are the best movies. I remember Scarecrow and Mrs. King too.

  6. Hi Shel, You're probably right on the reviews. I didn't pay any attention because I wasn't interested in seeing it. Isn't that often the case though? If you have low to no expectations you're usually pleasantly surprised.
