Surprised Melville sold that many copies. Man, that book was gawdawful boring
Thank you for sharing these facts. I have to try the one with the raisin. The one about the beer . . . Ew:)
Some neat things here today. Wishing you a great weekend.
illegal to catch mice? geez. Poor cats lol damn, those camcorders gave their owners an eye full haha
"Least likely to succeed?" What a MEAN award! That school should have been ashamed of itself for even allowing that vote.
I sure hope that one about chewing gum while peeling onions is true! I agree with Stephanie. What a mean thing to vote on.
that probably wasn't the worst thing about that catwoman movie
How cruel that anyone should be voted least likely to succeed. I was Best Body. I hope they don't vote for that anymore. I went to an antiquarian book fair in D.C. about fifteen years ago. An autographed copy of Moby Dick was for sale for many thousands of dollars--far more than I could afford. I am a bit of a Melville fan.
Love,
Janie
The least likely to succeed... That's both sad and funny.
Hi Sandra.
grin.
I never read it. I just couldn't get into hunting down a poor whale.
I trust the idiots think about that every time they see him on the big screen.
The one that destroyed my illusions was finding out those perfect scoops of ice cream are made from mashed potatoes:(
Cruel and stupid.
I hope that whatever plane Melville exists on he knows his book became a classic.
Grin.
I enjoyed it:)
And you, Ivy:)
On the deleted comment, I called you Amy, no idea where that came from.......
The mice one is really weird...
And wouldn't that be a surprise if you discovered that capability on your camcorder?
Mean and extremely cruel. That probably hung with him for years. But talk about Karma.....
Let me know if the chewing gum works with peeling onions:)
It amazes me how cruel we, as humans, can truly be.
I love this! I knew about Van Gogh. I am laughing at the x-ray vision of the camcorders. I knew about Mark Twain also:) Robin Williams was probably always goofing around so teachers would not think about his brilliance just that he didn't behave
Can you imagine someone buying a camcorder, recording, and.......Oops! 'But, honey, I had no idea.No really, she's not nearly as attractive as you.'
I'm going to have to try the raisn thing (and not entirely as an excuse to drink champagne)
Hmm.... didn't know know any of those facts. Poor Vincent Van Gogh. At least he has been cleared of committing suicide.
I've been called worse.
Grin.
I didn't realize that Rhobin.
