Mamma Mia 2
Definitely a chick flick. My husband sent his profuse thanks to my friend for going with me so he didn't have to. Grin. I loved it. It took me a bit to get into it because of the new characters, but once I did, I was hooked. It has a different feel to it from the first one, but just as good in its own way. Highly recommended, especially for any woman who has a daughter or is a child of the sixties.
*Spoiler alert. I did miss Meryl.
Have you seen it? Did you like it?

DeleteI enjoyed them both for you:)
DeleteHaven't seen this one, and din't see the other one, either. Glad you liked it. Have a great week, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI probably wouldn't have seen the first one if someone hadn't told me the story line. It totally intrigued me.
DeleteHope you have a great week too.
Hugs received and returned.
I am like the people who commented before me. Guess we aren't into chick flicks. I know I've never been. I was delighted to hear you liked it. And of course, I will wish CJ a happy belated birthday.
ReplyDeleteI loved both of them. I had no idea Meryl Streep had such a wonderful voice. Not to mention Pierce Brosnan sings in both of them. Be still my heart:)
DeleteHaven't seen the first movie in this series, but it always looked fun, as does this one. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather. It's amazing to see well known actors in singing roles. It was fun:)
DeleteThen I will take your word for it and glad you enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteHeh. Thanks, Alex:)
DeleteI haven't seen it and the phrase 'kicking and screaming' comes to my mind, but I did enjoy the musical.
ReplyDeleteHa!
DeleteSeeing the musical is on my bucket list.
I'll also take your word for this one.
ReplyDeleteHeh. Heh.
DeleteThanks for the wishes, Sandra. I'll pass on Mama Mia no matter the number. =^,.^=
ReplyDeleteHeh.
DeleteHope your day was filled with joy and that you're still partying.
I haven't seen the first one either.
ReplyDeleteSounds like most of the blogster buds haven't.
DeleteI love the first one and I know I will love this one because of the ABBA music, the locations, the 3 men, Cher and, as your wrote, less Meryl... :)
ReplyDeleteClutching my heart and reeling backwards. I love Meryl:)
DeleteHi Sandra - I have seen it ... but I'm not into chick flicks and this is a 'will be seen sometime movie' ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHeh. I hope when you do see it, Hilary, that you are pleasantly surprised.
DeleteCheers,
I haven't seen it. Interesting that Meryl isn't in it. I can see how she would be missing. :) Thanks for sharing!

Tsk. Tsk. What were they thinking?
DeleteI saw the first one, wasn't a big fan mainly because it was all covers from just one band. Les Miserables was a much better musical
