Did You Know

Did you know, Mary Higgins Clark, who recently died at age ninety-two, was thought to be the first author who received an eight figure contract?

She continued to write till near the end of her life. I find that very inspiring and hope the same can be said of me when I pass. RIP Mary Higgins Clark.

  1. Mary Higgins Clark wrote SO well. I always enjoyed her mysteries. I also read a couple of stories by her daughter, Carol Higgins Clark, but they don't really compare to Mary's great cozies. RIP indeed.

    1. It was a huge accomplishment. From what I read, she had no idea she'd be so wildly successful.

  12. I'll take an eight figure contract, preferably before I'm almost dead. Now if only the rugrats would leave uncle pattie alone...or maybe I'd leave them alone lol

  13. Eight figures. Wow. But what did she write? Ah, suspense novels. I don't think I have read any of her books.
