My new toy.
When the cost for my vacuum bags went up to forty dollars for a six pack, I decided it was time for a change. This vacuum cleaner cost me twenty dollars more than what I paid for my bags. So far, I'm very pleased with it. It works well and there are no bags to purchase. The downside: Emptying the canister gets a bit messy.
More pictures of Longwood Gardens.
AND...
Classic quote from Justice League.
"What's your super power?"
Bruce Wayne: "I'm rich."
What about you? Hopefully, you are doing something more exciting than vacuuming:) Been to Longwood Gardens? Seen Justice League?

LOVE those gardens. Heart balm on bright and colourful display. And you have reminded me that bringing out the suck monster is overdue.
Those gardens are beautiful. My kind of place. You got a good deal on the vacuum cleaner, too, have fun! Hugs, Valerie
Very pretty flowers. You didn't consider a stick vacuum cleaner? We love ours.
What lovely flower pictures Sandra, gives one a lift after all the bad weather of late.
Yvonne.
Hi Sandra - choosing vacuum cleaner is challenging ... and emptying canisters a smelly pain - but a new one is good - at least life will be cleaner. You're welcome to bring it over here to give a bit more exercise?!
Wonderful plant images ... our bulbs are coming up - but so much here is soggy ... we in the south east seem to be better off - wet, but not flooded out.
Enjoy the cleaner house and the new Spring life ... cheers Hilary
My friend gave me a vacuum cleaner for my birthday one year. It's the most difficult thing to use and the on/off switch is in the wrong place. I tell him only a man could have designed it. Yours at least looks much more user friendly.
Wow, those gardens are amazing. Beautiful flowers and lovely photos. Sorry, I've not seen Justice League, so can't cite any quotes.
Rich would be a fine super power lol
No bags is a win, but yeah, cleaning out the thing can be a pain in the butt.
That was a great line.
Forty dollars for bags? Wow!
Those flowers are pretty amazing, and the quote even better(lol) YIKES on those bags for a vacuum, and kudos to you for grabbing a new one that needs NO bags. too bad we can never find coupons for items like that, right? Hugs and Happy Tuesday to you Super Sandra! RO
I have n9t seen Justice League but I like that answer. I have never been to that garden but what great pictures you shared and I love that wreath...very original. We were happy when we bought our Dyson which is so lightweight and one I can vacuum with without my wrists hurting at the end.
Such gorgeous flowers! And glad to hear the new vacuum cleaner has been working out well for you, and that it will save you money, in the long run!
I hate the fact that vacuums don't have bags any more. Emptying the cup just releases all the dirt/dust back into the air. I'd love to go to Longwood Gardens. Beautiful displays. And Wayne's quote cracked me up. Have a good day!
while the bag less are great; they can be a pain in the sounds like sass; especially with litter dust...though around TT we have to "dig" for 5 minutes before making a deposit, spewing the litter everywhere but IN the box ~~~~~~~~~~
So glad you enjoyed the pictures.
Ha. Ha. Suck Monster. I love it. And Heart Balm, what a wonderful way to describe blooming flowers.
'bring it over for a bit more exercise'. You are so funny:) Though, if I was ever in the vicinity I'd love to sit down for a chat and cuppa;)
Our bulbs are up too, but at their peril. Good luck with yours.
Cheers
I've gotten used to the bagless vacuum. The only downside is my filters need cleaned and I prefer to do that in the summer, so during the winter, they get a little doggy.
Yeah I never get ones with bags
No offense to our male blogger buds, but I hear you on man engineering:)
The gardens were fabulous. I hope you get an opportunity to go someday.
I didn't enjoy emptying canisters though.
Yes and yes:)
Hugs received and returned.
To be honest, I know next to nothing about stick vacuums. What drew me to this one was its price and blurb on removing pet fur.
Yes and yes:)
A great line indeed.
That was my response to the bags, sprinkled with expletives:)
You have a lovely new toy, but I think toys can be even better if someone else uses them for cleaning. My Roombas have dustbins that need to be emptied, of course. I don't mind too much. I also have a very old Kenmore vacuum cleaner that is mostly good for sucking up palmetto bugs. The bags are very cheap and each one lasts about a year before it's filled with bugs and dog hair.
Love,
Janie
https://highriser.blogspot.com/2013/09/winning-lottery.html for a brief mention of our stick vac. Seven years later, it is still going strong, with the battery replaced a couple of years ago. I can't pretend that it is as good a sucker as what you have bought. Without pets and high up in the sky, ours mostly deals with dust and sock fluff.
Is that a Dyson? We have both a Dyson and a Rainbow, neither of which takes a bag. And all bags do is spread dust anyway.
I wish I could say I'm rich...but I am not! One can dream! lol
Whoah! What??? Forty bucks? For bags? Damn. I must be using the cheap, cheap, cheap, bags annnd? I'm ok with that. :) By the way, lovely photos!
Those blooms are dazzling, Sandra. SO pretty. Longing to see an outdoor garden again!
Rick and I share his canister vacuum. It's wonderful (but I agree -- dumping it can get a little dusty! We usually do it outside or in the garage!)
You'd love the gardens, Ro.
You know I'm not a coupon girl. My opinion, which runs counter to the majority of the world, heh: If the manufacturers are going to knock money off, just do it. Don't make me jump through hoops to get a discount. Of course, people like me save the manufacturers all kinds of money.
Hugs received and returned. Hope your Tuesday was happy.
That wreath is original, isn't it, Birgit.
Good to know on the Dyson. I agree, lightweight is sooo important in a vacuum cleaner.
Thanks, Heather:) Glad you liked the flowers. They were beautiful.
That's the down side, for sure, to the canisters.
I Hope you get to see the gardens.
I hear ya on both counts, FSG:)
I hear ya on the doggy:)
Thumbs up:)
I'm fascinated with Roombas.
And...I'd love for someone else to run my vac. Ha ha.
It's a Bissell. I've heard Dysons are really good. I'm not familiar with Rainbows.
Wish I could too, Lee:) And I'm not either. Heh. Let's here it for dreaming.
Dust and sock fluff. I can't imagine what it would be like without critter hair and allergens:) Thanks for taking the time to give me more info, Andrew.
I'd prefer cheap, cheap myself. Heh.
Thanks:)
Yes. I've started dumping mine in the garage too.
I'm also ready to see the garden:)
I have a Shark which has a canister and I agree they can be messy but, overall it's a great vacuum.
I think those gardens are so beautiful.
All the best Jan
I love your new little toy!
