Did you know, one of the first inventors of robots was daVinci who invented a robotic knight maneuvered by pulleys and levers?

I did not know that. If you pulled apart a modern robot, it would probably have pulleys and levers inside.
He was a very clever person. Hugs, Valerie
Hi Sandra - yes I did ... I had a poster of some of his inventions, picked up when I visited 'his' museum in Milan ... fabulous place. I did write about him in November 2011 - extraordinary man. Cheers Hilary
I didn't know that! And, through the years, I've watched two documentaries about his life, and neither mentioned that. I did know he tried to invent a flying machine. So much creativity!
I didn't know that, but it doesn't surprise me.
I actually did know that one. There was a wonderful exhibit of DaVinci's inventions years ago in Detroit. It was fascinating.
No, of all the things da Vinci did, this I did not know.
He was a genius.
I have actually seen some of his drawings showing the pulleys and levers. What a clever man. Just imagine what he could do today.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, dear Sandra. You ARE a pot of gold.

Happy St Paddy's! Da Vinci was very smart.
He was amazing. He rates with me as one of the smartest men ever.
Hugs received and returned.
Oh gosh, can you imagine? Or if he and Albert Einstein had ever met?
How kind. Thank you and back at ya, dear Elizabeth.
I didn't either, Denise.
It was a wonderful surprise to wake up to:) Happy St. Pat's Day to you and thanks for the wonderful card.

Good job, Hilary. Yes, extraordinary sums him up nicely:)
He puts most of us to shame, doesn't he, Elizabeth?
Apologies. I still can't find you:(
Isn't he something?
Or maybe I should say wasn't he something.
I'd love to see that.
I didn't either, Jamie:)
