Did You Know

 Did you know, one of the first inventors of robots was daVinci who invented a robotic knight maneuvered by pulleys and levers?


 

 AND

I found this on the counter when I got up this morning.


 AND

When I opened my emails I found a lovely Jacquie Lawson card from FSG and the  tabbies AND one from D.L. Finn. Thank you both.

I did not know that. If you pulled apart a modern robot, it would probably have pulleys and levers inside.

Hi Sandra - yes I did ... I had a poster of some of his inventions, picked up when I visited 'his' museum in Milan ... fabulous place. I did write about him in November 2011 - extraordinary man. Cheers Hilary

I didn't know that! And, through the years, I've watched two documentaries about his life, and neither mentioned that. I did know he tried to invent a flying machine. So much creativity!

I actually did know that one. There was a wonderful exhibit of DaVinci's inventions years ago in Detroit. It was fascinating.

I have actually seen some of his drawings showing the pulleys and levers. What a clever man. Just imagine what he could do today.
