It's Tuesday

 Greetings Blogger Buds,

What's your favorite easy salad(s)?

I must be part rabbit. I can live on salads, especially if pizza and dessert are thrown in:)

Here's a couple of mine.

Ingredients: apples, coconut, sliced almonds and yogurt.

Ingredients: lettuce, red pepper, eggs, carrots, walnuts, parmesan cheese topped with ranch dressing.

More food

Has anyone tried these candy bars?  OMG. They are delicious. The name and ingredients didn't really appeal. Then I noticed the high calorie count (ha), and noticed it was a Harry and David Product, and knew it had to be good.

Felt and tile

Instead of throwing this tile piece away, I stuck some felt on the underside and turned it into a hot plate. I'm sure some of you crafters and artists out there could make these and paint some lovely designs on them...if you haven't already:)

Critter pics

What about you blogger buds? Got an easy salad to share? Made hot plates? How's your critters? Tried Moose Munch?

You could survive on salad? But only with pizza and dessert! Computer says no. I especially like Greek salad and I could probably have one with every meal.

Both of your salads look pretty good to me. I also like an Indian salad (compliments of several Indian sisters-in-law): the main ingredients are shredded carrots, shredded coconut, some soaked and drained lentils, lemon juice & salt, and chopped coriander leaves.

Surprised your cat doesn't knock that tree over getting up there.
I like my salad to be mostly greens with just a few extra ingredients.

The coconut and apple salad sounds real good. Sounds perfect for Summer. Moose Munch would make the perfect ending to a meal. You're critter pics are adorable.

Don't you love it when cats roll on their back and then curl in? Best pose ever! Molly gave me a great recipe for avocado salad with avocado, garbanzo beans, tomato, onion and red pepper, held together with light mayo. But normally, it's tossed or spinach salad with whatever happens to be in the fridge -- berries, bacon, cheese, cuke, you name it. Kitchen sink. I've never made the tiles but have thought about it with leftovers from my shower!

That tile could be considered minimalist art haha.

I eat a lot of salad. I'm fond of spanich, onions, carrots, celery, cucumbers, raishes, and avocados. One time I ran out of spinach, and a lot of makings, and mashed up avocado, spredded some carrots and onions, it was a hit! Sweet potato salad has been a summer favorite or my verison of potato salad, since since can't eat nightshades. Love the fur baby pics, such sweet faces! I haven't tried that bar, gone are the days of sugar, but I still remember the taste and my love of chocolate....lol

I like how you made hot plate from a tile. Very clever.

Your Salads look delicious but I can't eat yogurt...I don't feel well after eating it...nauseous and burpy. Yuck:) I usually have a green salas along with a bevy of veggies and put Chicken breast on top. I used to place goat cheese on it too but I am on a diet and that is just too much. I used to love an avocado salad with just some salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. Love the hotplate idea and adding to the tile can, sometimes, make it too much. Maybe, I would have stencilled leaves around as a border. Your furbabses are too sweet! I love how the one is just hanging around and your doggie is so polite with his paws folded across. Your babe sleeping makes me laugh because they can contort and sleep so nicely.

Thumbs up on Greek Salad. We've got an Italian restaurant in town that does great Greek Salads. Do you think that qualifies as an oxymoron?:)

Your salad sounds luscious!

Elizabeth, I can't find your blog to respond:(

Your salads look delicious, especially the apple and yogurt one! A popcorn chocolate bar? What will they come up with next? lol
Your pets look happy and healthy :)

I eat a TON of salads, Sandra. Your "green" salad looks good because the egg yolks look done, not half cooked like it seems they do in other countries. Bleubeard seems to like whatever I put in front of him.

Gosh, that candy bar sounds good. Love the critter pics, especially that tree and Frank sleeping.

Not really. I think it is more a Mediterranean salad.

Thanks, CJ:) The coconut and apple is super easy, which I consider a huge plus:)
Yes, to the Moose Munch.
The critters thank you:)

Good job on eating salads, Natalie.
It may be the best candy bar I've ever had.

Bummer on the yogurt. Your salads sound good.
The fur babies are a mess.
YOU take special care.

Sandra Cox said...

Thanks, Jacquie. The apple and yogurt is super easy and has a natural sweet flavor without being over the top.
Who'd a thought on the popcorn chocolate bar, right? But my goodness it's good;)
The pets are a mess:)
Thanks for stopping by;)

Good on you for eating salads, Elizabeth. And good on Bleubeard for not being picky. These two are the first picky cats I've ever had. And they're both rescue--how soon they forget;)
The candy bar is heaven;)
Knock on wood, the tree is working so far....
