How long does it take you to make the bed when you are putting on fresh sheets?
It takes me eleven minutes. Eleven long, strenuous minutes. Yes, I timed it.
I swear, I never gave changing the sheets a bit of thought when we had a full bed. Or a queen. Or a king. Then we got adjustable beds. Don't misunderstand me. I love them. They're great for reading in bed or watching a movie. Or if you are having trouble breathing. Or just finding the right height for comfort. But when it's time to change out the bedding, OMG. It's like wrestling a lion. If you have an adjustable bed, you know what I'm talking about. We have two XL twins, placed side by side, in one frame. Which means twin sheets that you have to crawl onto the bed to battle tug them on and tuck them in. Then after getting the sheets on you switch to king size blankets and coverlet. It tires me just thinking about it. I think I'm going to put it under the heading of exercise. It should count, don't you think?
What about you. How long does it take you to put on fresh bedding? What size is your bed?
AND
Look at those daffies. Spring has come to NC--at least temporarily. In honor of the occasion, I've put away my long pants and dug out my shorts. I do get a kick out of the folks that are tougher than I and wear them all year long.
SO, blogger buds. How long does it take you to make your bed? Have you pulled out your shorts yet?

Hi Sandra - about the same as you ... but only one bed and only me to 'bag' all the comforts of clean sheets and duvet! And NO - it's still cold here - but fine the daffs are out ... the sun is here today ... so I'm still leg-covered. Yes it is just horrific that in the 21st C we have to 'watch' what is happening in Ukraine ... I so feel for them. With thoughts for all in trouble, particularly women on this today - International Women's Day. Hilary
I don't have a bed like yours so changing the sheets is easy. I wish spring was here in Michigan. We're still wearing winter clothes.
We have a California king and it still takes me almost ten minutes. I can't imagine wrestling with two adjustable beds.
My children had bunk beds, so I feel your pain. And yes, it counts as exercise. Tackling a complicated twin breaks me out in a sweat.
We had a nice day yesterday, but today is back to cold and rainy and I hear we have a bit more snow in our future. So, keep bragging about the sunshine. LOL. My daffodils are just starting to bud. Mine aren't spreading like they should. I think rabbits are to blame.
Hmmm.. never gave this much thought. I just want to get it done, so I don't time how long changing the sheets takes ;)
And no, I haven't pulled out shorts yet. I still can't go without a jacket in the morning.
I never thought of making that type of bed because my hubby wants one when we eventually move to an apartment or need another bed. It takes me about 8 min. When putting on new sheets and, usually I have to ask hubby to help because of my wrists. I have sprained my wrist putting on sheets but not severe which is good.
I love the flowers but we don’t have that yet, the day we had that huge snowstorm, I saw a man with the maple Leafs hockey shirt on and shorts! It was about -12 C...true Canuck!!
I have never timed the change, but now I'm curious :) We have a CA king and I would say it depends if the cats get involved as I go. Adding back pillows and blankets takes longer as I fluff them in the dryer :) I've thought of an adjustable bed, it sounds much like a bunk bed to change though. My daffodils just came up the flowers are a week or two off to bloom. No shorts for me yet or anytime usually before late May.
Horrific pretty much sums it up.
Thanks for the mention of International Women's Day, Hils.
Before we got this one, I never minded changing bedding. Now...Ack.
I'm so enjoying the sunshine. Here's to spring hitting Michigan soon.
this solely depends on whether mackerull is "helping" or not !!☺☺♥♥
70 this caturday past; snow expected this one coming up ~~~~ YEOW~~~
I never thought about the hassle of adjustable beds. We have a queen bed which is quick and easy to change.
I have a double bed. Doesn't take too long. A little longer on the double at the lake that's next to the wall. But not bad. I don't think I'll be getting an adjustable after reading this!
I have a king sized, never occurred to me to get an adjustable bed.

I had to go look up CA king:) I could see where that would take a bit of time.
More snow? Back. Back. Fingers crossed against evil.
Darn rabbits:)
I hear ya on just wanting to get it done;)
Here's to spring coming soon to your neck of the woods.
Heh. True Canuck indeed.
I think you'd definitely need your hubby's help with these beds. Though, I do like them. I'd like them even better if I had a maid. Ha. Ha.
Late May?? It's time to pull out the tank tops late May here. Tee hee.
Sounds like changing your bedding is a production also:)
Your daffies blooming will be something to look forward to:)
Heh.
70--purrfect. Snow, not so much.
Uy animo y si demora cambiar sabanas Te mando un beso.
Thumbs up on that:)
Oh yeah, next to the wall is definitely challenging.
King sized are nice beds.
Thanks for stopping by.
I have never timed it but, I have a queen so maybe 10 minutes. Of course now I will have to time it. haha
