Ketch-up Tuesday

 Greetings, Blogger Buds.

How much would you pay for a pair of gloves?

So, I saw a cute pair of gloves on Etsy. Didn't need them but they had cats and flowers, need I say more?:) So I clicked on the link, saw the price and mentally reeled back, clutching my heart. Go on, guess. How much do you think they were?

One hundred and twenty-eight dollars. $128.00.

Didn't see that one coming.  Needless to say, I decided I could do without kitty/flowers gloves.

Another critter pic provided by my SIL.

AND

I've been playing in the rocks. Though, I must say, given the heat it wasn't one of my better ideas.

Note how sparse the grass is. Spring it was lush. The heat is just devastating the grass and plants.  I give it a light sozzle every night, but it's just not enough.

Got dogs? Expensive gloves? Rocks? Rain?

No dogs. No expensive gloves. Rocks, yes. Rain? Drizzle.
Don't over do it in your heat. Please.

Hi Sandra - no dogs, no expensive gloves, rocks of chalk plenty! ... had a brief sprinkle, and may get more ... but it is cooler here. All the best - Hilary

I remember drought with water restrictions. Hand water every second day for limited evening hours and not able to use our sprinkler system. You do what you have to do to keep your garden alive at least, if not lush.

I wouldn't buy those gloves either. Yes, I have a sweet dog to keep me company.

Wow on the gloves, I would pass for sure. We had a good rain 2 days ago what a difference it made to the parched grass.

Our temps dropped and didn't even get to 70 yesterday -- low 60s and wind. I would have passed on those gloves, too. Yikes!

Nothing seems to kill our grass. The hotter it gets, the fester it grows.
For that price, those gloves better come with a great winter coat. And a hat.

Thanks, EC:) We had a bit of a drizzle too. It would be nice to have a good soak wouldn't it? YOU have a great one, my friend.
Hils, Love your chalky rocks. Drizzles seem to be all we're getting, doesn't it?
Andrew, Exactly.
Natalie, I'm glad you have a sweet dog. It must take after its caregiver:)
Christine, That's great. Here's to the next soaker.
Jeanie, Send that cool our way, please.
Alex, Wow. What kind of grass do you have?

First, I am wondering WHY you need gloves in all this heat??? No snow, so you don't need them to stay warm. No rain, so nothing is growing to need garden gloves. I don't believe we wear kitty gloves to church, and it's not even Sunday. But, do you remember wearing white gloves to church on Easter Sunday when you were a kid. No outfit was complete without white gloves and white ankle sox with lacy edges to wear in our black patent leather shoes. Hmm..perhaps I'm rambling off topic now. Hope you get some rain soon. We did, finally over the weekend. 3 inches!! So green here now. Love it.

Three inches! I'm so jealous.

I can't imagine spending that for a pair of gloves, even the ski gloves for winter. Yikes! Been hot here too and I keep watering. Today they say we might get dry lightning, which isn't good. Fingers crossed it stays away or gives us a ton of rain. I love the pictures and I'm out there in the heat doing stuff I shouldn't either...lol. But it was to keep our house insurance so all for a good cause! xoxoxo

Greetings, Sandra! Those gloves would have to be made out of very expensive material and crafted to fit one's hands like a glove (of all things) to be worth that much money, and even then I wouldn't spend that much on gloves. The dogs is adorable. Franklin and Penelope approve.

Love,
Janie

Who buys gloves like that? And just think, you have to have an outfit that goes with them. (Shoes, handbag, etc.) It wouldn't stop at the gloves.

No rain where we are right now, either, although there was a terrific storm that scared the daylights out of me about a week ago.

The dead of summer...ughh. love your doggie. HARLEY IS A GOOD BOY EXCEPT, oops I hits the caps by mistake. I'm not yelling, I promise. Harley will eat wrappers, paper etc.. that people throw on the ground. I hate that! The other day he got a pork chop bone and no way was he going yo let that go. Yup he has been having bad poops...yuck. the flowers look good but, grass is not as nice

Oh..the gloves? Were they from Grace Kelly? Holy smokaroonies! I do have gloves that my mom wore in the 50s. I bought a couple of nice gloves but they were under $20. That's crazy
