So how was your weekend, blogger buds? What did ya do?
We spent the weekend in Bethesda and DC with the daughter and SIL. More to come about the DC visit, but for now a visit to the gem room in the Museum of Natural Science. I felt like a kid in a candy store I have many, many more pictures of crystals for later postings. (You've been warned;)
So many rocks. So little time.
Can you believe it's August?

Cool!
DC - glad you came back alive.
Lots of pretty rocks. Hard to believe it is August. Seven months of achieving little with five more to go of achieving little. Then repeat.
Wow! The gems and geodes are gorgeous! The 6th picture down, the green one. Looks like a kitty to me!
Gorgeous! I would have felt the same way in there :)
Beautiful gems.
No, I can't believe it is already August. It rained on Sunday night in my hometown, then was dreary but hot yesterday on the first.
EC, It was wondrous. It made my heart catch.
Val, Welcome back. We missed you. Hugs,
Hils, It was for sure.

I love museums! History ones are my favorites, but I love a good science museum too.

Genial museo, te mando un beso.
It was for sure, J.P. Sending you a hug.
Happy August! Wild that we are already in this month. I love gems and all these different ..um...rocks. The amazing colours always leave me a bit gobsmacked to be honest. That huge bulbous green stone...is that Jade? There are just so many to see.
Nice that you had some family time, and those crystals... wow!
