Ketch-up Day

Happy August 1st. How is your week going?

I'm all for moving this summer along It's still dry and hot here. This is one of our crepe myrtles during a more normal summer. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that this year. What's it like in your area?

On the other hand, the potatoes in the mulch pile are thriving. It's always interesting to see what will pop up:)

And in other parts of the garden:

Somebody's watching you!
We've had just enough rain to keep everything watered.

It's wet and hot in Jacksonville, Florida. I have difficulty getting my lawn mowed because of the rain.

Love,
Janie

This summer the weather has gone from extremely hot, to rainy and now it's cooler. Oh and I cannot forget all the smoke. My plants outside are not doing well. All the rain has basically destroyed them but, my tomato plants are thriving. I have cherry tomatoes and they have all decided to turn at once. I guess everyone will start getting little baskets of tomatoes from me this week.

That is some fish Randy caught there.

All I can say is your garden is looking much better than mine. Sorry about the crepe myrtle, though. I have never seen one apart from photos. So showy and beautiful. Keep cool! (Or try!)
