Amazing. Perhaps you drop a piece into your drink like an ice cube? Or do you rub it somewhere, or consume a small and hopefully smooth piece?

Andrew, Fascinating ideas;) Could you imagine finding an amethyst in your alcoholic beverage. You'd think for sure you'd imbibed too much;)
Jamie, I think some folks wore it as jewelry, but the ancient Greeks would water down their potent wine with water till it was the color of amethyst. That actually was pretty smart.
