Can you say Brrr? The cold weather is coming. I sincerely hope the pipes don't freeze.
I had a great birthday. Partied for two days. Heh. One of the buds hosted a brunch for me at his house. Oh my goodness. It was amazing.
The cookies were homemade, double or triple chocolate and made by one of the buds.
He served tomato bisque, mushroom and spinach quiche and the most amazing salad. Have you ever had watermelon radishes or roasted yellow beets? They were delish and so very pretty.
The next day, the 70s Club went out for lunch. We tried a new place. The food and service were great, along with the price:)
Then at home, I had strawberry cheese (birthday) cake waiting for me. Very yummy. If anyone out there is interested, this came from Publix.
Well, the birthday celebration is over but the leftovers and cake linger on:)

Both my grandson and SIL play chess. I'm so impressed. My grandson is only eleven. I've never played a game of chess in my life, but I can play a mean game of checkers. Heh.
What's your pleasure? Do you play chess or checkers?
Stay warm. Stay safe, blogger buds.

Wonderful that your birthday was so good. And hooray for leftovers.
I have played chess in the past. Badly.
Happy belated birthday! Nothing like spreading it out over a couple days.
Happy belated birthday, Sandra. Glad that you had such a great time. I have played both chess and checkers, but neither one for many years. Chess was my clear favourite and I was a pretty decent player. Chess makes you think and strategize; impetuous moves will get you in trouble. A reflection of life in a way.
Happy Belated Birthday, Sandra! It sounds like you had a wonderful birthday.
Love all the photos!! Happy belated Birthday sweet lady!
hugs
Donna
Happy Birthday! What a lovely brunch!
I don't play either very well. If you want someone to beat, I'm your girl!

Happy Birthday! What a fabulous celebration. So deserved. I can play chess, but I don't have the ability to think ahead of possible moves so most of the time I lose.
Wow. You have great friends, Sandra. That birthday brunch looks amazing. So much thought and care went into it. How lovely. Happy Belated Birthday!
I love all these pics and so happy your day was special. That cake is amazing! And did kind of look like the card ;) I am a checkers kind of gal here too. Xo
Thanks, EC. I live on leftovers:) I'm sure you could easily beat me at chess;)
Thanks, Alex:) You betcha:)
Feliz cumpleaños atrasado. Te mando un beso.
Well said about Chess and life, David.
