Happy New Year to you, Sandra. May it be filled with great joy, good health, scudding clouds, gentle rain, bird song, shrimp cocktails and fine wine. David xo

Happy New Year! I’m not surprised that it’s the drunkest night of the year and, in the past, I would have been one but, tht ship has past. In fact, last night I was watching a movie and realized it was 12:02! Oh well…lol. I was recalling one of the many parties my parents gave on New Year’s and seeing my dad drunker than a Skunk. He was very happy..before he met the porcelain god.

Happy New Year to you and yours ... yes I can believe it's the 'drunkiest' night of the year - though I had a little! Wecome 2026 - to a healthier and kinder year for many of us ... and I do look forward to the Spring blooms - just have to wait a while! Cheers and all the very best - Hilary

No big surprise people get drunk the most on New Year's Eve. I've been stating at home on that night, since a few years before the pandemic.

Happy new year, Sandra. We don't normally eat black eyed peas. I don't even know what they are.

Sandra Cox said...

Thank you, JP. Hope yours was good. Hugs

Happy New Year, Andrew. It's a Southern thing. They're an off-white bean with a black spot on them.

Happy New Year! I did know that eating black-eyed peas was good luck to eat on the first of January, but didn't know that it should be 365. I'm sure I did eat that many, especially with my homemade cornbread, but I haven't had them in many years as I live in Mexico and I can't find them here either fresh or canned. Oh, wait...I did have them one year when I visited my daughter in Austin, TX.
