It's Over!

Can you believe it's the last day of August? Tomorrow is the first of September, it's nearly fall, and not far behind...Halloween.

Quickly followed by...Uh, huh.
But enough of that. What did you do over the weekend?
We went to see No Escape. OMG. It was the most intense movie I can remember seeing. First twenty minutes or so, nothing unusual then BAM! From that point on there's no relaxing back in your seat until the movie is over. I can't say I liked or I didn't like it. It was a bit too violent and too intense for my taste, but it certainly held my interest. Pierce Brosnan did a great job. It wasn't the usual suave role he normally plays.Owen Wilson more than held his own, as did  Lake Bell. Unfortunately, I can't see her without thinking of the 'other wife' role she played in It's Complicated. Anyhoo...have you seen it? Did you like it?

Christmas? Wash your mouth out. I am so not ready for it. The last one was only weeks ago. Wasn't it?
We don't celebrate Halloween so that one will slip past.
And no, I haven't seen No Escape. My wimpy self doesn't handle violence well.

Tomorrow's spring day for me. (Yay!)

I haven't seen No Escape yet, but I've heard good things about it. :-)

Sorry, didn't make it to the theater for that one. Just counting down the weeks until the football season officially begins!

I don't see violent movies; not my thing. and halloween junk has been in my grocery store since the first week of august. don't get me started on over-commercialization.

'tis difficult to believe it's almost September since it's like 40*C here outside... my coon tail nearly melted while I went out... doesn't smell like close Autumn to me

Our stores now have pumpkins, Halloween things, all Jewish holiday things, and now Christmas things out. It's way too early for all of that!

I don't think I could see that movie. Lately too much violence and panic like that doesn't bode well for me after some experiences I've been through. I'm sure it's well done, but it would just be too much for me.

Yay for Halloween. That means candy! Escape looks interesting. Wasn't sure about it until I read your review and I love action packed movies!

Hi, dear Sandra!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I haven't seen No Escape yet but it surely does look like nonstop intense action. (I wish they wouldn't show all the good parts of a movie in the trailer.) I remember Lake Bell as a cast member of three TV series that I loved - Miss Match, The Practice and Boston Legal.

Thanks for the mini review, dear friend Sandra, and enjoy your Monday!

I'm crying. Last day of August. Tomorrow begin meteorlogical Fall. Though the Autumnal Equinox doesn't happen until Sept 21. Just makes me cry to think about it. D-..: Not many days left in the sun room.

Yes! I am so happy that fall is around the corner. It's my favorite season. I hate summer! Since June I've been anxiously waiting for Halloween. :D

No Escape does look good.

Hi Feral Turtle:)
Thanks for the follow and commenting.
The movie was definitely action packed. You know how there is usually a lull, build up, wham then start over. Once it hit the wham, which was pretty quickly in, there was no lull or build up. Just kept going from one crisis to another.

This year is just rolling by too fast. I don't even want to think about the holidays!

LOL. I hear ya on the violence and Christmas being weeks ago and am in complete agreement.
Happy Monday, EC.

Okay:) I won't mention the Christmas decos that are out in some of the stores then. grin.

I agree on the violence. Unfortunately, you don't always know the level of it, until you're already in the movie.

Surprisingly, we've had some cool days that have felt good.
Hope your temperature gets comfy soon.

Good taste on your part, Shady. I loved Boston Legal:) I laugh just thinking about it. I still can't separate her from It's Complicated, which is too bad. Have a good one:)

We'll have a brief moment of silence for the beginning of meteorological fall. Hope you have several weeks left in the sun room.

Hi Sherry, It's rolling scary fast....

You don't have to wait much longer for Halloween, Chrys. Just blink a couple of times:)

I can't wait for the weather to cool down. I'd like the year to pass by fast until I hit vacation time. :)

Ah Christmas! I just made another Christmas card and although I love Christmas I wouldn't mind if we skipped a year:) This film does look good and my hubby really wants to see it and I wouldn't mind either since I love Pierce Brosnan (dreaming right now and hubby is not in the dream:))
