Have you seen Man From U.N.C.L.E. yet? We saw it this weekend and both really enjoyed it. It was like watching a softened version of James Bond. The film is so sixties. Mini skirts, over-sized sunglasses and go-go boots. It's a fun movie that doesn't take itself too seriously.
I haven't seen it. Thanks for the heads up. Mind you, sexist arrogant James Bond needs some softening. I suspect he couldn't tell whether his martini had been shaken or stirred - but liked being difficult. And superior.
Hi, Sandra! It's your friend, The Man From S.H.A.D.Y. :) I didn't know this movie was out. Now, thanks to you, I am eager to see it. I did some directing in my day, pay attention to detail and cringe when I notice continuity errors and anachronisms in films set in the past. The Sixties was a long decade that saw a tremendous amount of cultural change. I am eager to see how the makers of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. negotiated those white rapids. When I was a boy James Bond left me shaken and stirred. Movies and TV series about spies and secret agents inspired me including The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and the spin-off series The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. starring Stefanie Powers.
Might have to see it. I've been VERY cautious because I was worried they'd ruin the original feel of the show. However I've heard nothing but good things so far.

I've seen the trailer - it looks good. Whether I get to the cinema remains to be seen :-)
I haven't seen it. I don't think it's my type of film, though.
I had a busy weekend and actually skipped it. Bummer!

Have a lovely day and week, dear friend Sandra!
seems everybody liked it.... what's not to like when you have Henrylicious and Hammer Me Armie in a movie together?
Looks awesome! And I LOVE that they didn't reboot it into modern times. :-D
Hmmm. Solo and Kuryakin will always be Vaughn and McCallum to me.
Does sound like a fun one, will see it soon indeed
I haven't seen it yet. Actually, I don't go to the movies so I'll have to wait to see it when I can borrow it somewhere.

I have heard great reviews on this film and it sounds very groovy. I think I will dig it.
Sounds like a great one! I never saw the original...it was a TV series, right?
I'd love to watch this. My summer is over since I'm back to work, so I might DVR this when I see it.
Hi E.C. Yup never got the shaken, stirred thing, but then I'm not a martini drinker.
I hear ya, Annalisa. It had been awhile for us.
Hey, Vanessa. Good to see you. What type of films do you like?
Hi, Alex. Maybe next weekend....
Haven't, no.
Let me know if you see it and enjoy it, Shady.
There ya go:)
Hi, Misha! I thought it was a fun movie.
I saw the trailer awhile back but I'll probably rent the bluray
I haven't even heard of this one. Thanks for letting me know.
Do you watch McCallum on NCIS, CJ?
Hi, Pat. Let me know what you think about it.
Hi, Chrys. That works:)
Hi, Robert.
I didn't originally have a lot of interest in seeing it. I'm glad I changed my mind.
LOL. I caught the dig it and groovy;)
Correct, Steph. Do you watch NCIS? Ducky played the part of Kuryakin.
We watch a lot that way too, Medeia.
Hi, Ivy. Did you enjoy your weekend?
