Back Porch Visitor

This little guy must have thought he was a catbird since he came in the cat door. Even after I propped opened the porch door it took him several hours to figure out how to gain his freedom. Birdbrain.

Happy first of October! Can you believe it?

Maybe he didn't believe escape would be that easy?
On, I can't believe it's October. Less than three months to Christmas!

Yikes! We had a bird feeder near our back door and I started to worry one would get inside my sunroom. We ended up getting rid of it--it was causing way too many problems.

Yup over thinking it.
You took the thoughts right out of my head on Christmas, Alex.

Love the idea of a cat bird. I often have tits that fly in here by mistake, and it takes ages to persuade them to leave! Hugs, Valerie

Hi, dear Sandra! I'm happy to know that your bird visitor found its way outside. One night recently Mrs. Shady and I discovered a mourning dove stranded in the corridor of our condo. Apparently the bird was attracted by the porch lights at dusk and couldn't figure out how to get back to freedom. Fortunately it was gone the next morning, lured away by daylight.

Happy October, dear friend Sandra!

Glad to hear the bird made it safely outside. Maybe the bird was looking for your cat? Some birds used to attack Nan's cats.

Happy October 1st!

Oh poor little bird but at least he got out and was not a snack for the cat:) I can't believe it is October! Last week it felt like July

Sometimes they aren't very bright. Other times they leave us for dead.
Christmas? Wash your mouth out.

Gotcha ya. I think this spring I'll put up hummingbird feeders instead of regular bird feeders.

It might have speeded things up:)

I like tit birds, though I'm not really thrilled with their name.
How are you, Valerie?

Glad the dove made it out okay. Happy October, Shady.

Hi Jessica Marie! Yes, some of those little birdies have attitudes. Especial crows. I saw a group of them the other day running off a hawk.

Isn't that the truth? A blink and a month's gone.

Hi Misha! How are you? We've missed ya.

Good question.
