Baby, It's Snow Outside

We got about six inches last week, which is considerable for this area.  Luckily, the weather has warmed and its melted.

Franky enjoyed playing for a little while then decided snow was overrated. What about your area, did you get hit too?

AND....
Carmen asked that I tell everyone thank you for the birthday wishes. She really appreciated them. Carmen is seriously ill. A perk up for me is book sales. For an author it's validation. If you haven't read Dracula's Mistress and you think it would appeal, I would ask you to consider purchasing it. The price is .99¢.
And if it doesn't appeal, I'm sure all well wishes are cherished.

This is seriously SAD. You got so much more snow than I did, and even though it has been bitterly cold here, we haven't had that much snow. You aren't known for snow, are you? My cats have kitty paws and Bleubeard refuses to go outside when it snows. Squiggles has never been outside (except in his carrier to the vet), so he has no idea what snow is. Franky is brave.

Please wish Carmen warm wishes to feel better soon. I will keep her in my thoughts and please keep us updated on her health.

Very pretty snow. No chance of it happening here.

Best wishes to Carmen. I hope that her health returns and her sales soar.

No snow here...just the summer heat. Actually, we never get snow here where I live! :)

Better you than me. At least it melted fast. Frany looks rather miffed in the first one haha

At least you won't lose Franky in the snow.
We didn't get much, but that was all right.

I've had enough of snow, but glad Franky enjoyed it. Even for a little while.

Snow is just a part of the winter season. It's the ice that always worried me.
Great photos! Franky knows when enough is enough!
I am so sorry about Carmen's health. Wishing her better health and healing,
Congrats to you Sandra 💮

So Sorry to hear about Carmen. Hoping she gets better.

I think we'll get hit later this week. (And I'm with Franky -- snow is so over rated!) Drive carefully!

You know I adore looking at the pictures of the snow, and enjoyed having it around for a few days. I think Franky and I could have hung out for awhile(lol) My prayers go out to Carmen. Please let her know that many are thinking of her and sending healing hugs...RO

Hi Elizabeth,
No we normally don't get snow and it's pretty much melted now. Franky is currently outside trying to figure out how to get those darn birds on the other side of the fence:)

I always think snow looks so pretty and makes things clean looking. Your pussy cat seems unsure whether she likes it or not, I hope Carmen gets better soon and send her my well wishes. I am trying to get back into things a bit. Last week was busy with all the arrangements and phone calls. Yesterday I truly felt sad.

I'm not sure if I should offer congratulations or condolences.

Freezing rain forecast for today in Toronto. Good luck with book sales.

We wait for at least 4 inches so they groom the cross country ski trails. Haven't seen it, all north of me today.

We got rain ... Your snow was pretty.

It was pretty:)
I'm sure Carmen appreciates the good wishes, EC.

Your weather sounds like it was downright scary.
Thanks for the well wishes for Carmen.

Pretty! Our Calvin touched snow once and never again. Hobbes however would plow through it, roll in it, and even eat it.

We have rain, and that's about as much weather as I can boast of. The year we call The Great Snow, we had two inches on our deck. The cat went bonkers--California born and raised with no snow experience whatsoever. He almost slid off the edge.

So sorry about your friend's illness. I do hope she'll return to health and write more stories.

Thanks, Heather:)

After growing up in the Midwest, that's hard to imagine. But I guess it's a tradeoff, you have such lovely surroundings and weather.

Sandra Cox said...

Ha! Yup, it's a beautiful day today:)
The snow was fun for him for a minute or two:)

Sandra Cox said...

Nope, no chance of losing Franky in the snow. Heh. We weren't expecting much and were stunned when we got hit. Do you have nice weather now, Alex?

We had eight to 10 inches already at noon. My husband has had the snowblower going full blast twice already, and I imagine within an hour or so he will be giving the driveway and sidewalk I third pass. It's still snowing. It's beautiful – with all the covered trees – but snow is a lot of work. All schools are closed around here – Minnesota – and that's why my husband has the day off. Thank God. If it were left up to me, I'd wait for spring to venture out. :-)

Your photos are lovely. My siblings in Illinois and Ohio keep me informed about temperature and snow. Indeed, cat would be about ready to find inside.

Do you still have the white stuff on the ground, CJ?

Ice is the worst. We had a few spots but not nearly as bad as it could have been.
Stay warm:)

Thanks, Jamie.
I hope she gets better too.

Snow in South Carolina is even rarer than NC, isn't it?

Yikes! Stay safe.

We would have happily shared:)

Thank you, Sharon.
As long as it doesn't turn to ice, rain is good:)

Hobbes sounds like Franky:)

Cute snow kitty story, Lee:) Put a smile on my face.
Thank you for Carmen's well wishes. They are appreciated.

Ten inches and still falling! Oh my word. Stay safe and warm. That does sound like Minnesota. We used to live in WI.

Sandra Cox said...

Thank you for the good wishes for Carmen.
Franky thought he was a snow bunny.
