On the apple front, I saw a new apple last week. A yellow apple (brand name Yello). I bought one to try. One apple cost close to $2. I hope it is delicious.

I guess I'm lucky. I'm not a fan of apples. I guess that is why I have no idea what they cost in the midwest/central plains.
Love the chicken video. Apples here are relatively cheap, there are orchards all around. Imported fruit is much more expensive. I usually eat the fruit in season as it's the cheapest. Hugs, Valerie

Honey Crisp is a variety that was bred, is that the right word? at the University of Minnesota. And the apples are huge! At least the ones in my grocery store. So two or three times bigger than the Red Delicious. I'm not a fan of Red Delicious. I don't like the texture and really prefer the tart apples like Granny Smith or MacIntosh. I never thought a chicken could be a pet. That was pretty cool. Have a good week!

Yes, I know what you mean about the apples....those expensive apples are over $3 in my neck of the woods and they didn’t even have my favourite, Golden Delicious. That man with the chicken..maybe it’s the reincarnation of his dog. How long do chickens live? I wonder if he brought his chicken to the meat aisle?

Supply and demand, nobody wants to eat red del apples.
I have noticed the price of honey crisps have gone up around here as well. Hopefully, in the fall the price will go down. I think there are just more Red Delicious trees planted.
