Did You Know

Did you know, legend has it that carnelian was used to guard the dead on their journey to their next life?

*Carnelian is a red, pink or orange, translucent stone.

AND...In honor of RAK week, if you live in the US or the UK (I think...) help yourself to a free download of FLOWER GARDENS AND MORE.

You frequently remind me just how much I don't know. Thank you for your generosity and for educating me each week.

Lol, I thought you misspelt chameleon or it was a different US spelling. I wouldn't mind a pretty rock to accompany me to the grave, except I will be burnt to cinders. Maybe the Carnelian can be reused.

The stones you can buy in fantasy shops all have something to them. This one is pretty cool actually. I wonder if archeologists found them in burial plots. I found all the words but "Dried" kept me going for a bit.

I learned to new things from that (the second was what a carnelian was!)

You know, that's a nice thought. You can leave your jewelry to the fam and still take a pretty with you. I might have to think about doing that. Did you know when Lord Byron was 'burnt to cinders' his heart survived?

Sandra Cox said...

AND no reason why you should:)
