Did you have a great weekend? Is your week going well? Did you catch any weather last week? We got seven inches. Most of it within a few hours. There were flash flood warnings out but we made it through unscathed. Whew.

Hi Sandra - gosh the weather has been 'odd' recently - 7 inches is extraordinary ... if we had that our chalk cliffs would wash away and I'd be floating off somewhere! Your photos of the rain gauge (reminds me of ours - back in the day), the plants amazing ... lovely to see thank you - Hilary
I have to convert. 7 inches is 178mm, rather a lot in one day.

Funky lily pad.
Flooding in our area from the hurricane but we are good here.
Hands-on gardening is nice for kids. Seven inches is a lot of rain. We had only a few drops, but it was very windy. I'm still cleaning up branches and leaves.

We had some downpours last week, but not that much rain. Wow! 7 inches! I love the hands in the children's garden.
I was a bit worried about both you and RO! when I saw the path of the hurricane. One nice thing. You weren't at Burning Man! Glad you made it through unscathed.
Those gardens are gorgeous. I especially liked the roses and what looks like a garden with a pergola.

EC, I hear ya. Outside of that huge amount in one night, we've had very little this summer. I've watered incessantly.
Hils, The weather has been odd for sure and I'm afraid that's going to be the norm for a long time to come.
Andrew, It was lush for sure. Wish I'd taken more of the pond. You probably figured out it's the same pond that had the huge lily pads I showed last week.
Donna, We were very lucky. Now it's back to being dry. Sigh.
Alex, Glad everything is okay in your area after the hurricane.
Sandra, That is a lot of rain. It's extremely hot here again this week, I think summer has been rebooted here. Love the garden photo. Flowers are fading quickly here. There are a few wild flowers still growing but, most of the other flowers are gone.
No rain here. only heat. Sigh.

True, I think its rebooted here too. It's back in the 90s. My garden has been gasping all summer.
