Howbeit (a word I haven't come across) it being an example of 'misplaced' priorities I like the idea of a cat at a formal dinner.
I thought it was a greeting, like How's it going? How be it? Good thanks.
This one is new to me. I will ponder it for a while and try to come up with a “belle phrase” using it.
I don't think I've heard of Howbeit, but I have heard all be it used in the same manner.
Fun to think of the cat at the state dinner. Would have been more fun if the cat was a Tuxie.

How best that cat? The cat was special and glad she ate at a formal dinner. I knew he l9ved animals but didn't know the cat was at a formal function...I love it!

I’m very fond of animals, Abe, howbeit not on the table. I stay out of the cat’s dining space and it should stay out of mine. Otherwise, it may find itself in a new home.
I've heard people say, albeit, but not...throughbeit.
