I didn't know that about goosebumps and the dead. I wonder what causes it?

Capybara! I am a bit late to the craze.
When I was young, I was constant earwig, learning about all kinds of things adults did. But the phrase at the time for me was Big Ears,

I don't think I've ever seen an earwig in the house, just outside in the dirt.

The hairs in Jack’s ears grew so thick and dense you might well have called it an “ear wig.” It’s just as well he worked as an embalmer, mostly out of view of the public. It was so creepy even the corpses got goose bumps.

Ok...that's just freaky that dead people get goosebumps. It gives me the creeps.
My aunt was one big earwig. She is the only one I know who would check who died and go to the funeral, not to pay respects but to get all the dirt on the person(s)

I hope I never get a bug of any kind in my ear. I looked up the goose bumps. With the deceased, it's part of the body decaying. I thought that was interesting.

Love,
Janie
