A-Z: Pixie-Bob
Like the bobcat it resembles, the pixie-cat has a one to six inch shortened tail. It's a healthy, large cat with a double coat and polydactyl toes. This cat requires very little grooming but it does need it's claws trimmed regularly. It has few health issues, tends to live a long life, is dog-like in its devotion and can even be walked on a leash. If you are interested in adopting please visit your local shelter or rescue, petfinder.com or overstock.com.

fantastic
What a beauty, I am really learning about a lot of new cats here. Hugs, Valerie
Never heard of that one. Cool looking cat.
A truly beautiful beast. But then almost all cats are.
I have never seen one of those cats. The purring reminds me of days gone by.
If only my husband didn't have a thing about complete cats. The short tail and extra toes would unnerve him. I've seen other cats with extra toes though.
Hi, dear Sandra!
I enjoyed learning about the Pixie-Bob cat and wouldn't mind owning one. Having a cat that behaves more like a dog would be fun because the main problem I always had with cats is their detachment. My modus operandi is to shower a pet with attention and affection and I prefer an animal that appreciates it and reciprocates.
Thank you, dear friend Sandra!
Yet another beauty where do you find all these lovely cats?
Yvonne.
The girlies tried to put a harness on Ink. Was better as a thought bubble than actual practice. :-D
That really does look like a little bobcat. How cute. The toes are awesome. Never heard of this kitty before.

A new one to me! How fun!
Glad to hear it, Val.
Hugs,
They certainly are, EC.
Awww.
Sounds like Hemingway kitties.
Hi Shady. Some cats are detached and some just can't get enough attention. Like people, they all have their own unique personalities.
Thanks, Yvonne. I just do a little research.
What a sweet name for this puss!

I can only imagine:)
Do you have two daughters?
Hi Tamara,
You are correct. You don't hear of them very much.
Glad you liked it, Jeanie:)

It is a great name, isn't it.
Oh my...I'm loving this cat...you had me at "acts like a dog" 😀
I had a cat named Dog (a Russian blue, NOT a pixie bob) that I took everywhere with me. He was also leash trained and went everywhere on a leash. People thought I was odd, especially after they found out his name!
I've never heard of a Pixie-Bob, but I really am enjoying this wonderful series where I'm learning SO much about so many different cats.
Aww, I want one! They do look a lot like bobcats :) And that is a lot of toes!
That seems to appeal to a lot of folks.
It sounds like Dog was well named:)
Glad you're enjoying the series, Elizabeth.
It is a lot of toes. Grin.
