It's Tuesday

FRANK

So...I was in the living room with the television on and decided to take a nap. Frank wanted to go out. He didn't need to. It was hot outside.  I drifted off. Apparently, I hadn't gotten the message so he jumped on my stomach then walked to the door. I ignored him and once again drifted off. Again, he jumped on my stomach then walked to the door. I went to the bedroom and laid down. He started rattling the door. Now you'd think a cat couldn't make much noise with a door, but he manages to sound like a battering ram. I ignored him.  He switched to the poor, poor pitiful me cat cry that he excels at. I'm so sad. I'm so lonely. Open the door.  I ignored it. So he brings out the big guns and gets the dog to scratch at the door. Actually, it may have been the approaching storm that had the dog scratching at the door. She's deathly afraid of them.  Any hoo, at that point I gave up and got up. Critters one. Puny human zip.

In the Garden

I just finished up my walkway extension project. Some of the shrubs get a little overzealous  with their growth and shootout over the walkway. So I extended the width of sections of the walkway with these half moons.

AND A prickly project.

I removed the little maples growing amongst the roses. How? Very carefully.

Got thorns? Roses? Walkways? Misbehaving critters?

Your Frankie is a real character. Cats have a way of getting their message over to their humans! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie

Cats can be very, very noisy. And persistent. Ask me how I know.
Love your garden and the walkways look great. Those are impressive rose thorns too.

Some people would take the easy option and cut the plants back, but not Sandra. She makes another path. You may have lost out against the pets, but it is quite an achievement to not get 'thorned'. A thorn would always get me, and as my hand quickly recoiled another thorn would get me.

Frank reminds me of Squiggles. I have to ration his food or he would not know when to stop eating. Bleubeard has no problem with portion control. Sounds like you and I eventually give in, so it might as well be at a time convenient for them, not us (grin).

I learned a long time ago that I can't get into an argument with a rose bush. The rose thorns always win.

Frank is so cute. Fabulous stonework. Are those blue stones inside the half circle?

It's pretty much impossible to ignore determined pets. My childhood dog used to wake me up before 7 AM every morning because she wanted her breakfast, and so she refused to let me sleep in.

We are staff! They lay on top of us, place a paw on our face at 3am, meow and we make room for them. It is the way we work with our fur babes. I love the pretty stones you used. It looks great what you have done.

Innit the truth. Heh. That black kitty is a complainer too, hey?
Thankee. Yeah, they are impressive indeed.
YOU take special care.

Frank and I thank you, Yvonne;)

Heh. You're so funny.
The red roses and I are usually simpatico but the yellow rose bushes have a mad on going for me.

Sandra Cox said...

Yup, the critters have us whipped, Elizabeth:)
When we first rescued Frank as a scrawny kitten, he couldn't get enough to eat. Four years later, he has become quite picky.
You're exactly right about the rose bushes;)

Persistent is a good description, Natalie.
The next project is rocking in the bushes:)
Did you get lilacs for your garden or am I misremembering?

I like the half moons.

Thankee;) The blue stones are the glow in the dark that you can pick up in a department store or order online. Thanks for noticing.

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
