All things western and more.
Did you know, swimming purportedly boosts brain health? It's thought to improve cognitive function and memory. It can help release serotonin and endorphins which improves mood. And it helps blood flow.
It makes sense to me - perhaps because it is my preferred form of exercise.
I haven't swam in years. It is an excellent form of exercise.
Hi Sandra - yup ... as too a good walk in the fresh air - cheers Hilary
I love swimming, so glad it's healthy! Hugs, Valerie
Good on you, Val. You swim and do a lot of walking. The best forms of exercise:)Hugs received and returned.
I can't swim so I guess that is why my brain acts the way it does....lol.Yvonne.
Ha! Hope you are doing well. We've missed you in the blogosphere.
Unless it was in our pool with parents who were careless with their young toddler and led to closure of the pool for a week while it was 'deep cleaned'.
Well that would certainly be enough to scar a person when it comes to swimming.

So they say:)
I knew about some of the benefits, like an easier-on-the-muscles-and-bones way of exercise, but not all these! Good to know. Now, where does one go for a swim these days? (This was easier to do - daily - when I lived on my sailboat. :-))
Living on a sailboat. Wondrous. You definitely lived the dream.
That explains a lot about my brain, because I can't even doggy swim!(lol) Hugs and Happy Weekend! RO
Mine too, Ro:) Heh. I haven't swum in years and I guess my brain is reflecting it:)Hugs received and returned.
