Did You Know

Did you know, swimming purportedly boosts brain health? It's thought to improve cognitive function and memory. It can help release serotonin  and endorphins which improves mood. And it helps blood flow.

It makes sense to me - perhaps because it is my preferred form of exercise.

Unless it was in our pool with parents who were careless with their young toddler and led to closure of the pool for a week while it was 'deep cleaned'.

I knew about some of the benefits, like an easier-on-the-muscles-and-bones way of exercise, but not all these! Good to know. Now, where does one go for a swim these days? (This was easier to do - daily - when I lived on my sailboat. :-))

RO said...

That explains a lot about my brain, because I can't even doggy swim!(lol) Hugs and Happy Weekend! RO

Sandra Cox said...

So they say:)

Sandra Cox said...

Living on a sailboat. Wondrous. You definitely lived the dream.

Sandra Cox said...

Mine too, Ro:) Heh. I haven't swum in years and I guess my brain is reflecting it:)
