Did You Know

Did you know, that the terms ocean and sea, though used interchangeably, aren't exactly the same?

The ocean is the huge body of water that covers most of the earth. The sea is the large body of water that bumps up against land and connects it to the ocean.

Somewhere in the back of my mind I knew there was a difference, but I wouldn't have been able to say what it was. I'll try to remember from now on.

(Wow, it seems ages since I was here - hope you're well!)

Echoing what Annalisa said. I knew there is a difference, but was not not to certain just what it was.

Yes I knew that and yhe sea is bigger than a lake. I think. Plus the lake may not go into the ocean.
