It's Ketch-up Day

How was your weekend and how is your week shaping up?

Ours has been thought provoking.

We had a pause moment. Amazon dropped off a package that wasn't ours.  We didn't recognize the name or the address. If it had been a postal delivery we would have just returned it to the post office. As it was, we thought we'd stick the address in GPS and drop it off. And then we paused. Three months ago we would have done just that, but violence is escalating at such a pace in this country that knocking on a stranger's door or pulling into their driveway can get you shot. I wish I was exaggerating. Unfortunately, I'm not. This is now America's reality.

AND

It was a lazy Sunday.

AND In the garden

Hostas

AND

Sunday we had burgers for dinner. I had plant based (The Impossible Burger) and the HH had beef. Can you tell which is which?

Burger A

Burger B

Got hostas? Tried plant based burgers? Worried about guns? Did you have a lazy Sunday?

Hooray for lazy Sundays. Sigh at gun issues - which fortunately we rarely face.
I hope you enjoyed the plant burger. Burger the first looks more appetising to me so I hope that was the vegie version.

I dropped off a package that was misdelivered, but it was to a house two doors down.
Your critters know how to chill.

I can't tell the difference in the burgers. I usually get Beyond Beef - just as good and a little bit cheaper.

I planted three new hostas this year. I would love for them to take over like they have in your garden.

It must be scary with so many guns in the hands of craz people, I would think twice about knocking on somebody's door, too. So sad to be afraid of oher people, neighbours, strangers. Hugs, Valerie

I love your photos and your hostas look great. It sounds like you had a nice time on the weekend. I got better from the cold but last week I felt so week and shaky. I was done in so my weekend was one of rest. I couldn’t do much and my tongue was coated like wearing a sweater…yuck. I still feel shaky and week but, I think, I’m a bit better.

Between daily mass shootings and people shooting first before shouting Who is it? when the doorbell is run, it's very scary going out and about. Love the chill critters. Teague and I also had a lazy Sunday at the beach. We dipped our toes in the water at 44 oF. Some young people did a polar bear plunge. 🥶

LOVE those hostas. Mine are nonexistent this year.

It is very scary what is happening in our country right now. Votng the fools out who say it's a mental health problem, or "let's just pray for them" is the only way we are going to get our gun laws changed.

Your critters chill about like mine, but mine aren't allowed on the furniture.

EC, I'm very glad you aren't dealing with the gun issues we have here. Australia has handled guns a whole lot better than we have. Yup, it was the first burger. Pretty tasty too:)
Good on you, Alex. We would have too if it had been in our neighborhood. Yup, the critters have chilling down to a fine art:)
Di, I've heard good things about Beyond Beef. Good luck with the hostas and congrats on Release Day.
Val, It is sad and so unnecessary.

So sorry you are feeling puny, but glad you are feeling better, Birgit.
Elizabeth, Completely agree on the voting. The dog is the only one we can keep off the furniture. We gave up on the cats:)
Thanks, Christine.
CJ, It is scary going out. Glad you had fun at the beach. You're a better woman than me. I don't think I would have even dipped my toe in the water at that temp. Heh.

Someone in our neighborhood had a similar thing happen. I would have been inclined to take it over but I get what you mean. I would call Amazon and ask them to either pick up or to contact the person.

We have always taken packages to neighbors, but you are right we have to rethink that now. You just never know. Love the garden and kitty pics too. My hubby loves the plant based burgers, I wish I could enjoy them but I have to be careful not to get night shades. I eat turkey burgers instead :) xo

Thanks, J.P. Sending you hugs,
Donna, It is for sure. Let us know if you get some hostas. Your roses look pretty. Hugs
Jeanie, Amazon automatically replaces but those are good ideas.
Hi Denise, I hear ya, I wouldn't have a problem taking a package to someone in the neighborhood either. Glad you liked the critter and garden pics. Good on your hubby for eating plant-based burgers. I get it on the night shades. xoxox
