It's Tuesday, Ketch-up Day

Hope you had a lovely weekend and are having a good week.

We had visitors, to one of the butterfly bushes, that entranced me. If it weren't for the antennas I would have sworn they were little hummers.  They constantly fluttered like hummers and their coloring was like hummers. I looked them up and it turns out I was partially right. They're hummingbird moths:)

Another weird mushroom

THE critters

AND Florida skies

Thanks, Shane.

That's all folks.

Lucky you to see hummingbird moths. I have only seen them on screen and have been fascinated. Love the critters and those skies are spectacular.

I've never heard of a hummingbird moth before, but you were brave in capturing it. Anything that flies is usually gone by the time I get it in focus.

Unique mushroom indeed. Wonderful photos of the fur crew!!

Humming bird moth. Interesting.
How did the weird mushroom taste? Are you there Sandra? Sandra, please wake up.
Kind of a cat selfie.

I've never seen such a moth! Pretty!
We had crazy looking mushrooms pop up in our yard as well...
The critters are too sweet, and the skies are unusual looking! We heard there was a bad sinkhole in a Jacksonville parking lot...never heard anything else about it.
Try to enjoy the week!

Donna

We had a hummer that looked like a bee. Pats and headbutts for the critters.

I didn't know there was such a thing as a hummingbird moth. I've seen a lot of butterflies in my backyard this summer. I hope my flowers have drawn them in. They've been so pretty.

Love,
Janie

Thanks, Elizabeth. Those moths just fascinated me.
Andrew, ROFL. You're so funny.
Donna, Yikes. Sinkholes are scary things. Hugs received and returned.
Val, It looks like Frank for sure in that pic, but it's Maisy. You got to see a special on Hummmingbird Moths, that's both timely and cool. Hugs received and returned.
Thanks, Jamie. That mushroom looks like a space ship, doesn't it?

Alex, Aren't those something?
CJ, Bumblebee Moths! We've had those too.
Christine, They were new to me too.
Janie, Who'd a thought, right? Glad you've had flowers and butterflies this summer.
Thanks, Jan. There sure are:)

Jeanie, It does have a lacey effect doesn't it? Glad you liked the photos.
Thanks, J.P. I'm sending you a hug.
Denise, Those little moths are so fascinating. They look like baby hummers.
I am so sorry, Rue. I stopped by and read your post but Google vehemently refuses to let me comment at your site:(
