Happy Birthday Mike ... I hope the fact you're celebrating - doesn't mean you're congratulating yourself on the fact you've been to the library recently - practising biblioklepting!???? Cheers Hilary
Biblioklept is a funny word. I guess I'd go with book thief. I usually don't loan my books out because I've had a couple of bad experiences with people who didn't return them.
A book thief. Funny, my sis in law was checking in on our home, a few years back. Now she has damaged our front door when she locked herself out and smashed her self in. She damaged my hubby’s very expensive kayak, a tshirt she was to wash for her brother is long gone, a book we did lend her is also…long gone and a couple of other things we lent her has come back damaged. I noticed something was off in my library and asked her when we called. She took one of my books to read….yes…took! I asked that she return it right away and she said she was good for it and it should be no problem. I demanded my book back and told her I don’t lend out my books since my books have disappeared in the past. She said she was sorry for the way I thought! I got my book back the next day.

I've known a few biblioklepts in my day!
A disappointment. I've been lucky, only missing one book but it is annoying.
Made me think of the book and movie "The Book Thief." ;)
