Hi Sandra - that I didn't know ... now I must fact check?! But plastic ... not a good idea ... what about brown bags? Look it's a grey wet soggy day and I have to go out ... can't think straight! Cheers Hilary

I did not know that. Sometimes here there are bunches of bananas with the same part covered in red wax. That must do the same job. Now I know why.
Iteresting. I just read on the internet, so you know it's gotta be true, that you should tear apart the banana bunch and keep them single to make them stay fresh longer. I haven't tried it though.
