It's Ketch-Up Day

How was your weekend and how is your week going?

We saw the grands this weekend. The grand girl was running in a 5 K.  It was a lot of fun watching the kids. AND the excitement didn't stop there. We got home just in time to discover a turtle laying her eggs next to the drive. She dug a hole, laid the eggs, covered the hole and off she went.

This is what she looked like but this isn't mama turtle.

Her running pose;)

AND the Eternal Garden Pics

It's day lily time in NC.

The coneflowers are blooming. They look like zinnias, don't they?

Remember the disgarded rose branch cuttings I stuck in the ground by Captain's grave?

AND

Last but not least, Florida sky shots.

Are you a runner? Seen a lovely sunset? Got flowers?

Hi Sandra - nope, not a runner me ... give me a ball to chase - then yes!! Your littlies' pose matches the craziness of the game's name ... How wonderful to see the turtle birthing its eggs ... glad you didn't disturb her. The plant's are enjoying the early summer sun - cheers and enjoy the week - Hilary

Love your garden and the sky. Captain's roses are doing soooo well.
Not a runner - but applaud those who are.

Good for your granddaughter. I run five miles four times a week.
Hopefully you get some baby turtles soon. If she doesn't come back, like sea turtles don't, maybe you should put a fence around the spot.

Am I a runner? Hahaaaaa. You have a true green thumb! Look at those roses! They are stunning as are your other flowers. We have some flowers too but hubby is working on our wading pool..I mean our water feature. He has made it bigger and hope we can get a liner but they are expensive. I love how your granddaughter runs. When I run...many, many years ago, I run like a girl. Arms outstretched and hands in the air. It's very sad..lol. you had a nice weekend and that's great.

Those flowers are beautiful!

Glad you had such a good time!

I'm not one for running but, if I have to, I can run quite fast!

Hey Hils, My running days are well past me. Not sure I could even chase a ball:)
Cheers,
Thanks, EC. And completely agree on lauding runners. Unfortunately, I'm not either.
Thanks, Val. I hear ya. I could run forever when I was a kid. No more. Hugs
Thanks so much, Natalie;)
Good on you for running, Alex. You and the granddaughter are on the same page as far as fencing.
Thanks, CJ. You enjoy your week too:)

Birgit, Some days my thumb turns a bit yellow. Heh. I had to laugh at your 'running like a girl' description:)
Christine, Oh yes:)
