Be Careful Who You Send That Text To
Have you ever sent a text to the wrong person? Responding to the last text you've received instead of the person you meant to text? I sent a text, meant for a friend, to my out-of-state brother inviting him to lunch. He replied he thought I'd probably sent it to him in error, though he'd love to have lunch. He then proceeded to tell me about a text he had sent to a buddy thinking he was sending it to his wife. Please keep in mind, my brother and his friends are manly men. grin. Anyway he texted that he'd enjoyed their morning and that he loved her. And his friend emailed back that he thought that the text had probably been sent to him in error but that he loved him too:)

I did once sent a message saying AT LEAST YOU HAVE A NICE BUM to a very manly friend :) instead to another friend who was complaining about his body and I just wanted to cheer him up. The manly friend responded with WHY, THANK YOU, IT IS GOOD TO KNOW :)
Fortunately not. So far.
My texts are pretty dull anyway.
No, I haven't done it, but when I was speaking some messages instead of typing them I made some nasty errors, like 'I love washing all the shits on the river....' can you guess what it should have been? The recipient fortunately had a sense of humour....
Hugs, Valerie
At least his friend knew it was in error and that your brother wasn't going gay.
And no, I've never sent a text to the wrong person. Yet.
never e-mailed anyone incorrectly. and I don't text cause I don't have a cell phone.
lol you can usually tell when it is in error. I've gotten messages on skype a few times that weren't meant for me, never sent one though, at least yet.
I texted a colleague once to remind him to put the bins out (I obviously meant to text my husband). It's easily done - I always double-check, just in case... ;-)
Oh yes, the text/email mistakenly sent to the wrong person. Mostly funny but sadly my friend found out her partner was cheating on her in this way.
Hi, Sandra!
It pays to check, then double check, then triple check...
... before you send. :)
Happy Thursday, dear friend!
I try not to be "bad" when I send texts/messages. I'm sure many have gotten very strange ones indeed.
Ouch! That would be terrible.
LOL. That's a hoot, Dez. Thanks for sharing.
LOL!! That's happened to me once. Then I had a colleague accidentally text me that she thought I was annoying (sending it to me, instead of the person she meant to text it to...sigh).
That's funny, I do try to be careful to avoid doing this.
Dull texts are definitely the safest, EC;)
I got snagged on that one too, Valerie. It was at my daughter's wedding, I'd had a glass or two of champagne and was having a heck of a time correcting them:)
My speaking messages not the champagne:)
I wish I could say the same, Alex.
I fought getting a cell phone for years, but once I succumbed that was it. I'm totally freaked when I go anywhere without it.
A lesson, I've been slow to learn.
Happy Thursday to you, Shady.
Good game plan, Adam.
I have done that before--mostly because I usually just assume my husband was the last person I texted since he's the one I text most. I'll just fire off a text to the last message on there and not look to see if it's him before I send. Nothing embarrassing yet, though!
Well that was certainly rude of her. We think you are delightful.
Good game plan, Christine. I think maybe I'd better try too:)
Oh Yes Sandra I have done that....got me into trouble at the time.
Yvonne.
Text! Hahaha I did one better..I thought I was beside my husband and leaned in on him, told him can`t wait to get him in the sack and touched his butt only to find out it was a complete stranger...thankfully a man at least. I must have turned several stages of red and flubbed my words while apologizing. The guy didn`t even laugh or say something funny he just looked at me and walked away. My husband laughed for a week!
LOL. OMG. That is hilarious.
It's just too darn easy to do.
Ha.
I've never used Skype a lot. I was always afraid I would be skyping when I didn't intend to.
