Well, it's official, we started our Christmas shopping Friday. Pretty much got the hh taken care of...notice I say pretty much:) Considering it was a Friday night in December the mall just wasn't that crowded. Freaky huh? I'm assuming online shopping has a lot to do with it. Remember the days before online shopping and the recession? You had to be primed with caffeine, vitamins and wear protective gear, because if you wanted to actually make it to a specific rack of clothing or get to the toy aisle you had to be prepared for evasive action and defensive maneuvers. Ah, the good ole days.
So have you started your shopping or are you one of those disgusting, err efficient, individuals that's already done?

I'm happy to say I finished shopping right after Thanksgiving! Online shopping is the way to go. Not going near a store until next year.
All done at my sea, only reason to go to a store for me now is groceries.
My mom came to visit last month, and I finished all my shopping then. It's so nice to just relax in December and not worry about it at all! :) Have a lovely week.
I actually did a little Christmas shopping in August. Then again in October. I only have to get a few small things, now, and I think I have time. Now there are the cards to do, and baking for my neighbors.
Hope they shop something nice for you too :)
I started back in the summer but still am not done:) I am one of the few who does not buy things on line-I like going to stores but not the mall. I go to the unique stores run by mom and pop style...I like to keep them in business.
I have done all my shopping.....sending money to my son in Spain. Also the same to my estranged family here in the UK. I do miss the Christmas wrapping paper though.
Yvonne.
It does make life easier doesn't it? I do both.
I totally know what you mean! I went to the mall this Sunday, and noticed the lack of shoppers. I think you're right, most people are trying to avoid the crows and shopping online. I like to do both, spending most of my time shopping online, but visiting the malls to get a sense of holiday spirit amidst the decorations and cheerful Christmas music.
spouse and I did all our (minimal) shopping online this year. we can't find the things we want in the local shops and we DON'T go to malls.
Sigh. I have started. Probably mostly done, but there is more to do. And we have rather a lot of December/early January birthdays too.
Ugh--I went to the post office this morning and wanted to bludgeon someone. THAT's where everyone is! But I've done about 90 percent of my shopping online this year. I'm just waiting for the packages to start showing up. I've received a few...Kohl's is surprisingly slow. They just sent me an email that one item in my order from Black Friday isn't available...and I was thinking, "Are you kidding? That hasn't even shipped yet?" I don't know about them... Was the item available on Black Friday and, if so, why did it take them over a week to try to find it and ship it to me?
You are too efficient, Pat:)
Christine, that's just sick and wrong;)
Nothing is better than homemade baked items. Yum.
Thanks, sweet Dez. Santa is usually good to me.
That's great, Birgit. You can get a lot of unique and personal gifts that way.
Nope, I still need to do my shopping, Sandra. I'm always a bit late. But not this year, I won't be.
You are ahead for me. Hope this season is joyous, Yvonne.
Exactly! Now that's what I'm talkin' about.
Good for you for having it all wrapped up, Anne Marie:)
We've got the bdays too, EC:) The grands were born the day after Christmas, and my sister and I are January babies.
Well you've solved that mystery for us. Note to self: don't order online from Kohls.
Hi Blue dear, how are you? You'll probably finish before I do.....
Point and click. Point and click. Done!
