How was your Thanksgiving, Blogster Buds? We did something a little different this year. We went to the Isle of Palms.

The HH kept hearing someone saying hello to him and finally figured out it was Bubba. |
We had a great time. Every night we walked the beach. There's something mystic about the ocean in the dark, when the white caps are coming in and the water glistens like silver.
But enough about my weekend. I want to hear about yours.

we stayed home. on TD spouse and I had sushi and seafood for dinner. we bought a new dishwasher (ours died). spouse went to a movie with his BFF. I got some well-needed rest and a bit of knitting was accomplished. but 4 days of relaxation came to an end on monday with the cry BACK TO WORK.
there is something hypnotic and meditative about the beach in winter.
Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos! Hugs, Valerie
oooh, those are some lovely photos! Spring in the middle of winter
That looks absolutely lovely. It is too long since I have seen (or heard) the sea.
We don't do Thanksgving, so it was same old, same old over here.
I was going to ask where is the Isle of Palms, but it must be near Charleston!
My Thanksgiving was relaxing. And completely unplugged.
Sure looks like an awesome spot. Bubba was just being polite lol or annoying
What waesome photo's Sandra, luck you to have been to such a wonderful place.
Yvonne.
Hi, Sandra!
Isle of Palms looks like a lovely spot. In the 1970s and 80s, I vacationed at Myrtle Beach a dozen times and visited Brookgreen Gardens, but didn't travel as far south as the Charleston area and I.O.P. Thank you for showing us your "postcards."
Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Sandra!
What a fabulous spot! There's something so rejuvenating about the ocean. Our Thanksgiving was quiet at home with just the 4 of us, very relaxed and low key. The way Hobbits like the holidays. Most days, actually
Looks like a wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving. :-)
Sounds like you had a relaxing holiday, Anne Marie.
My pleasure, Val.
Hugs back.
Thanks.The weather was perfect.
I love the ocean.
You're right, Alex. It's close to Charleston. You, unplugged? Wow. :)
He was a hoot, Pat. Has a wide vocabulary. He can say meow:) and pretty kitty:) I love you and several other phrases.
It is a wonderful place. It's always special being near the ocean.
I haven't spent much time at Myrtle Beach. It's a very popular spot. And I don't think I've been to Brookgreen Gardens. We went to the Elizabethan Gardens on the Outer Banks. Truly awesome.
You can't beat a relaxed holiday. Glad you enjoyed it.
It was a neat spot. It's the first time I've been there. You could hear the ocean from our room. Loved it.
It was. Thanks, Misha.
That looks like a beautiful place! My Thanksgiving was spent indoors, the temperatures started dropping that day. My brother and I cooked the food and we had a nice, small family dinner.
Wow! What a beautiful place. Simply gorgeous!
Great pics and what a beautiful place!! :) I stayed home for the most part, nursing a cold. Haha, maybe I'll get to explore a bit more during the year-end celebrations.
That's great. It sounds like you had a very nice Thanksgiving, Elizabeth.
That's what I thought too:)
Thanks, Anna. I hope you are feeling much better.
The beach for Thanksgiving sounds heavenly. I'm jealous! We were at Magnolia Plantation last summer. Nice place!
That is so pretty.
Love,
Janie
It had a lot of history to it. And I loved the bridges. The beach was heavenly. It was so relaxing. Did you go to Charleston or the beaches or both last summer?
It sure was. Thanks, Janie.
Gosh i am late-Christmas stuff to do, computer issues(again) etc...has made it difficult this week. I love your pictures and it looks like you had a great time. My hubby and I went to get our Christmas tree (not up yet) on Saturday and my friend and I went to the One of a Kind show in Toronto on Sunday which we do every year. It was fun!
Sounds like you had a great weekend, Birgit. I'm glad:)
