It's not a word used here but I do know its meaning. How about bull**** as an alternative.
Why in the cover of darkness did the Quitman chicken cross the road?
I am with Andrew.
My wife will soon be coming downstairs with a cockamamie story about why I should make crêpes for breakfast for her, served with maple syrup and blueberries. I guess I will.
I've heard of that word. Fun fact too. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
Rarely ever use that word.
And not letting a chicken cross the road. Amazing.
And why mustn't the chicken cross the road? That seems to be a cockamamie story, too! Hugs
I use this word often. I'm beginning to realize how many old words I use due to my dad who was born in 1913. I would say that story is just bull#%$@.
Love that unique law and always reminds of a Canadian TV Show called "This is the Law" they had a panel who would watch a short video and the person gets arrested and you have to figure out what that person did wrong. It was always some archaic law that was still on the books.
Hi Christine, Your meme today worked out purrfectly with Did You Know and vice versa:)
I haven't used that word in a long time, but it's a great one. Crazy comes to mind!
No lo sabía. Te mando un beso.
I wonder what the secret is that must remain hidden across the road!!! :)
Birgit, Good job on your word knowledge! The show sounds like fun;)
I've actually used that word now and then!
I think of nonsense! What a crazy law! Xo
Hi Sandra - it's not a word I've come across ... but makes sense the way you and others have mentioned. Cock and Bull story would be one I'd use. Love the idea about the chicken crossing the road in the dark in Quitman ... life is fun isn't it - cheers Hilary
Stupid law...
Lolol...I've heard it all, now!
hugs
Donna
